Cat naps

I’m on a quest to find my cats a place to sleep at night (or during the day). If you ask them, they’ve already found the perfect napping spot — underneath the couch in the living room.

Their picks

1. Underneath/behind the couch.

2. On the dining room chair.

3. Among the wires of my computer desk and the entertainment unit

4. On the tile floor.

If you ask me, I’d rather they sleep on a soft bed. Ok, I’ll admit that I’m a little cheap (or frugal?). After reading about owners who buy expensive cat beds and see them go unused, I didn’t want to make the same mistake. I decided to build my own. After all, would the kitties be able to tell the difference between homemade bed and a mass produced one?

My beds

1. An old towel on the ground. I found out where my kitties favorite lounging spots are and laid a folded towel there. Usage: 10%

2.  A box with old towels and shirts. Again, I placed them near popular lounging spots. Usage: 0% — they sniffed, inspected and rejected it.

3. A small-medium size box with an entry hole. An old towel inside for comfort. Usage: 20% — the kitties rested for a few minutes.
